The lakeside deck at Wapato Park Pavilion looks out over Wapato Lake, giving guests a water-and-forest view right from the rental space. It's the pavilion's centerpiece, linking the enclosed hall to the lake below. The pavilion sits inside Wapato Park in Tacoma, part of a lake-and-forest setting that includes a 0.9-mile walking trail. The building holds up to 55 guests, with folding tables and chairs included in every rental. Upstairs, a kitchenette offers a sink, counter space, and electricity for events, though there's no full kitchen or barbecue. A chair lift provides access to the second floor. Rentals run June through September, with a four-hour minimum. Alcohol is permitted with a Washington State banquet permit and a licensed bartender, and an onsite rental monitor is present during events.

Wild Ginger Bellevue sits right on Bellevue Way NE, next door to the Bellevue Arts Museum and just across the street from Bellevue Square mall, in the Lincoln Square South stretch of downtown Bellevue. The restaurant moved into this address in 2017, a smaller footprint than its original Bellevue home at The Bravern, where it first opened in 2009 to mark parent restaurant Wild Ginger's 20th anniversary. Inside, SKB Architects designed the space to blend Asian influences with a more contemporary look, giving the room a casual but still dressed-up feel, with a main dining room, a bar, and private dining space set apart for events. The kitchen, led by Chef de Cuisine Milan Waduge, serves family-style dishes rooted in the cuisines of China and Southeast Asia, the same style Wild Ginger's founders picked up traveling through Malaysia, Burma, Thailand, Singapore, and Hong Kong back in the 1980s. The wine program has drawn recognition for how well it pairs with the menu, and bottles under $100 are half off on Sundays. Private dining and group meals are booked separately from the main dining room, so a party can be as small as an intimate dinner or as large as a bigger group reception.

Bateau, french for “boat,” is both a nod to our first restaurant, Boat Street Café, as well as an attempt to reimagine the American steak house around quality, sustainability and animal welfare. With the name About Bateau, which comes from the French word for "boat," we're paying homage to our first restaurant, Boat Street Café, while also attempting to reimagine the American steakhouse in the context of quality, sustainability, and animal welfare. Traditional cattle breeds, renowned for their flavor, are the centerpiece of Bateau's whole animal menu. These cattle breeds are selected and owned by Bateau and cared for by Pure Country, a Food Alliance certified ranch located in Moses Lake, Washington. All of our cows are raised in a humane manner, fed only grass, and, most importantly, finished only on pasture. Bateau's beef is dry aged for a minimum of 21 days before being butchered on site by Scott Johnson, the butcher for the restaurant. This is certainly not the quickest, easiest, or most cost-effective method of preparing beef, but we believe it is the most effective. Along with Chef Taylor Thornhill's inventive dishes, which frequently include foraged and fermented ingredients, specialty cuts are sold by the pound or by the quantity of meat available. In addition to steakhouse classics done right, such as twice-fried frites and buttery mashed potatoes, the menu includes iconic cocktails and an extensive bottle list. The service is warm and welcoming while also being refined. Many of the fixtures and furniture pieces from Boat Street Café have been repurposed in the dining room as a nod to the former location. The space was designed by NBBJ, and its basement later became home to The Triple Door, the music and performance venue that opened in 2003. The kitchen draws on recipes gathered from Malaysia, Burma, Thailand, Singapore, and Hong Kong, served family style so guests share dishes across the table, alongside a wine program the restaurant treats with the same care as its food menu. For private dining, the downtown location offers the Lion Room, Dragon Room, Mezzanine Lounge, Union St. Dining Room, and a set of four configurable Mezzanine Rooms that combine to seat up to 64 guests.
