Prince William, Virginia's Bel Air 1740 is a sophisticated, new English garden venue that is located approximately 25 minutes south of Washington, DC in Prince William. Beloved Bel Air is a private 25 acre enclave of spectacular rural beauty nestled in the heart of a bustling urban region with easy access to Uber / taxi service as well as a wide variety of hotels, restaurants, and other services. Because of its beautiful rolling fields, elegant lawns, and lovely English gardens, Bel Air 1740 is a beautiful venue for indoor and outdoor receptions, pictures, and ceremonies. It also has a new Wedding Barn for ceremonies and receptions. The 7000 square foot climate controlled wedding barn has a capacity of 150 guests (with a permit, it may accommodate up to 200+ guests). A wheelchair accessible facility on a single level has been constructed. An imposing great hall with 25 foot ceilings and a cutting edge theatrical sound and lighting system are among the many highlights of the barn. The barn is equipped with two large ready rooms, a huge warming kitchen, and a wide covered terrace that can be enclosed with glass panels and heated during the colder months. Crooked River is a 200-plus-acre estate in Hiltons, Virginia, combining rolling farmland with valley and mountain views. The property is built around a circa-1823 grist mill, now the estate's main reception space, where 17-foot doors flanked by old-world stonework, chandeliers, and a towering stone fireplace give the room an Old World, European-countryside character. Large windows frame the surrounding mountains, and the space is climate-controlled with both indoor and outdoor fireplaces and a fire pit, seating up to 200 guests. Couples getting ready can use the Tobacco Barn, a converted cottage with a bridal suite on the upper floor and a groom's lounge below, along with a full kitchen, bar, and outdoor gathering areas. The hotel occupies a six-story building constructed in 1926 in downtown Lexington, Virginia, and restored into a 39-room boutique property. It is described as the only example of 1920s art-deco architecture in downtown Lexington, and at six stories, it is also the tallest building in the downtown area. For weddings, banquets, and receptions, the Grand Ballroom offers 4,200 square feet of event space, accommodating up to 350 seated guests or 467 standing guests. Smaller wedding receptions and gatherings can also be hosted in the Juniper Lounge, the hotel's on-site restaurant and bar, whose veranda accommodates up to 50 guests. Frontier Culture Museum is an open-air living history museum in Staunton, Virginia, built near the junction of I-64 and I-81 to tell the story of the settlers who shaped early American culture from European, African, and indigenous roots. Reconstructed farms and historic buildings across the museum's grounds recreate the world of 17th- and 18th-century migrants from England, Germany, Ireland, and West Africa, alongside the enslaved individuals who helped build colonial and early American society. The museum operates as an agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia and is billed as the biggest open-air living history museum in the Shenandoah Valley. The museum rents several of its spaces for private events, including weddings, cocktail receptions, luncheons, board meetings, staff retreats, and company picnics. Options include the historic Octagonal Barn, a two-story 1908 barn relocated from Bridgewater, Virginia; an open-air Pavilion overlooking the museum's Old World Exhibits; and a converted Dairy Barn Lecture Hall. The restaurant itself was established in 1973 and has been owned and operated by the Vangelopoulos family since 1995. The Ward Center for Contemporary Art occupies a converted 1889 building in downtown Petersburg, Virginia — originally the Rucker Rosenstock department store, later Butterworth's Furniture, and reimagined through a 2014 renovation into a contemporary art gallery, event venue, and artist studios and lofts. The building sits in Petersburg's historic downtown district, about 25 minutes from Richmond. The venue's main gallery combines restored wood floors, 19-foot ceilings, two grand staircases, and a VIP loft mezzanine with rotating exhibitions of contemporary art on its walls, giving weddings, receptions, meetings, and classes a gallery backdrop rather than a standard banquet room. The space accommodates up to 500 guests standing, with tables and chairs provided for 250 seated guests. Renters have use of the space for a full day, along with kitchen facilities for an outside caterer of their choosing, a private dressing room, and wireless internet, and the venue is handicap accessible.

As a National Trust for Historic Preservation site, we believe that all Americans have a right to learn about their own history by visiting the places that surround us. This historic site is dedicated to filling in the gaps of our cultural heritage, particularly the stories of enslaved and freed Black communities, as well as the stories of their descendants. Take a look at our interpretation themes. All of our properties are on 126 historic acres in Alexandria, Virginia, and they include two historic properties and one working farm. It was built in 1805, and it was given to Nelly Custis and Lawrence Lewis as a gift by President George Washington. The site was used as a plantation, and the couple enslaved over 90 people while operating it. The Pope-Leighey House, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, is also located on the grounds, where visitors can explore and be inspired by the Usonian architecture and a vision for affordable, well-designed housing that Wright envisioned. We co-own the land with our partner, Arcadia Farm for Sustainable Agriculture, whose mission is to create a more equitable and sustainable local food system in the greater Los Angeles area. Our activities are spread out throughout the grounds and trails, and they are designed to promote learning as well as wellbeing as well as respite and enjoyment of the natural environment and its history. Immersive experiences, exhibitions, performances, and thought-provoking art are used to bring these stories and discussions to life. The kitchen presses its own juices in house for cocktails and sources ingredients locally for its scratch kitchen, complementing a menu of authentic fusion cuisine. For private events, Havana '59 offers its second and third floor patios, which can be booked separately or combined.
